Everton have already completed a few signings this summer.
The Toffees have wrapped up deals for Thierno Barry and Mark Travers, while Carlos Alcaraz’s loan move has been made permanent after his impressive displays last season.
But they are not done yet as they aim for more reinforcements ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.
According to journalist Mirko Di Natale, Everton remain in the background for Juventus forward Timothy Weah.
Marseille appeared to be on the brink of sealing a move for Weah, but it emerges they have yet to reach an agreement with the Serie A outfit.
The two clubs are still locked in negotiations but the French club have not come close to meeting Juventus’ €20 million valuation.
If Marseille fail to agree a deal, Everton could make a concrete move for Weah in the current 2025 transfer window. They are reportedly in the background for the winger, keeping an eye on developments.
Weah is an academy product of Paris Saint-Germain, but limited first-team opportunities saw him leaving to join Lille in 2019.
His performances for the Ligue 1 outfit impressed Juventus who signed him in a deal worth €12 million in 2023.
However, Weah has failed to make a huge impact at the Allianz Stadium.
The United States international has made 78 appearances across all competitions, with 14 goal contributions to his name. Injury issues meant he managed to start only 18 times in the Serie A last term.
Despite his struggles in Italy, Weah still remains a top player who can operate as a winger as well as a wing-back. He is highly rated for his pace, dribbling and technical skills.
