Everton issue club statement on Friedkin Group takeover

Everton have confirmed they will play four pre-season friendlies as they begin preparations for the 2024-25 season.

The Toffees will be in action against Irish side Sligo Rovers at The Showgrounds on Friday, July 19.

The Rovers compete in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland, and is the former club of Seamus Coleman.

Fans of football can gather all the information about other preseason friendlies for Premier League clubs.

Sean Dyche’s men will lock horns with Salford City at the Peninsula Stadium on July 27 before an exciting clash with Championship outfit Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Tuesday, July 30.

The Merseyside club will play their final preseason game against Preston North End at Deepdale on Saturday, August 3.

Everton endured a very difficult 2023-24 campaign as their Premier League survival looked in danger after points deduction.

However, manager Sean Dyche inspired his side to some stunning performances as they sealed a 15th-placed finish with 40 points.

The Toffees will hope to make further progress under the English boss in 2024-25 as they aim to finish in the top-half of the table.

They have had a busy summer transfer window so far, with midfielders Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye arriving at Goodison Park in £9 million and £15 million deals respectively.
